Happy Heavenly Birthday Noel
On this day May 19, 1987, Miss Noel Marie Hansen was born in Frankfurt Germany. Noel is my husband's first daughter, and she was a hoot, there are so many stories I have been told by the family that I love and cherish. I so badly wish I had gotten to meet her.
Noel had seizures from a young age which caused a lot of health issues and even though her parents were told she probably wouldn't live to age 5, well she proved those Doctor's wrong, and she made it many years past that. Noel was feisty, funny and had a great life and was very loved.
My husband Dave is also a parent who grieves the loss of his child because Noel passed away July 5, 2012, from a stroke. Today Dave is pretty quiet, I asked him if he is okay and he said he is a little sad, but that is about all he will show of that pain he carries every day. God bless his heart!
Other goings on....
We have been planting stuff in our Garden boxes, we have peppers, tomatoes, okra squash, strawberries. potatoes, onions broccoli, cauliflower, and beans. Our Grand dog "Pickles" laid on one of the boxes of plants right on top of those plants after Dave had planted them. We had to holler to get her off, and then yesterday she climbed in a box and dug up our tomato plants. Dave took her out there for a serious one on one talk. (whoopin) so hopefully she stays off the boxes. (Meanwhile she has been hiding by me all night ) Pickles is like her Gma... she is Scandalous and gets into trouble a lot.
Mother's Day was last week... it was quiet and low key. I am still thinking about my friend who lost her son and that was her first holiday without him. We planted a Chestnut tree in his honor on our land we call it the Shane tree.
The Chickens are getting BIG... They have a couple weeks left in the house. We have one that got picked on so badly her back was bloody; we Ciara named her Holly. Holly is off by herself in a tub because she needs to heal. Holly doesn't like being alone, so she cries and carries on till Ciara gets her out and puts on her lap and then Holly hangs out with Ciara on her lap most the time.
It has been pretty mellow and HOT lately. When I say hot, it is about 87 or so, now where I came from in Arizona that was a great temperature, but my body thinks it is a hot temperature now lol.
This week I get a steroid shot in my left hand by my thumb in some joint. I have had it before and it hurts when they do it, but then after the pain goes away you can use your thumb again and your arthritis is at by for about 6 months. We have Memorial Day off and I took that Tuesday off as well hopefully we can do something fun that I don't need to use my hand for. Last time I had this done I had both hands done and I could not do anything with my hands for about 3 days.
Have a great week and hug your loved ones tight.
